Apart from providing direct and indirect employment in its production units, Corporate office and other supporting offices, Burnpur Cement Limited has always been lending its helping hand to the people in distress and need.

In our country, especially in rural areas, the disease of cataract blindness prevails among the poor and under-privileged. Our team comprising of qualified and experienced Eye Specialists visits the remote villages and organizes Medical Assistance camps. In these camps, the patients are examined and treated according to their requirements. Those who have cataract problems are brought into our base camp, where they are operated through Micro Surgical technique and IOL is implanted free of cost. Patients needing on spot treatment are examined and provided free medicines as well.

To promote literacy among poor children residing in in-accessible areas, our team visits different Primary Schools in such places and distributes educational kit such as, slates, pencils, note books, etc., as an incentive to the under-privileged students attending schools.

Despite advancement in all fields of science and technology, our team has found that blindness and other similar eye related problems still prevails in a large section of child population due to malnutrition. In order to overcome this dreaded problem, children are supplemented with Vitamin ‘A' tablets.

Burnpur Cement Ltd. is a well acquainted name as the organization which supports any event beneficial to the society. The Company has always played a very active role in patronising social events like Blood Donation Camp, Thallassaemia detection camp, Eye camp and other similar events. Many sporting & cultural events have been organized in Asansol Sub-division and nearby areas under our banner. The organization has also been patronising different Clubs & Libraries of this industrial region to help the unemployed youths in preparing for competitive examinations to bag suitable jobs in different Government, Semi Government and different Public Sector Organisations.
